I already had enough of Narthangai pickles so decided to try something new. My grandmother told me this recipe and here we go with it:
Narthangai - 2 diced into small cubes after removing the seeds
Jaggery - equal amount of Narthangai after being cut into pieces
Green Chillies - 1-2 pieces
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds. As soon as it starts spluttering add green chillies. Add the narthangai pieces. Add water for boiling the narthangai. As soon as narthangai pieces start becoming soft, add jaggery. The mixture will start to thicken and attain a halwa like consistency.
Narthangai Pachadi is ready and Yummy!!!
