Oats Pradhaman

I felt like having Ada Pradhaman. But then I did not have the readymade Ada and I did not have enough time to prepare them at home. So I decided to try it with Oats. It turned out to be yummy. So here goes the recipe.

Ingredients

Oats - 1/4 cup
Jaggery - 1/4 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Coconut Milk - 1 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - a pinch

For Garnishing

Cashew nuts
Raisins
Ghee - for frying the cashews and raisins

Preparation

Add the jaggery and water in a hard bottomed vessel. Let this boil for 2 minutes. Add the oats and let it boil for another 3 minutes. By this time the oats would have cooked. Add the coconut milk to the oats/jaggery mixture and combine it well. Add cardamom powder. Once it boils, switch off the stove.

Fry the cashews & raisins and garnish it on top of the oats pradhaman.

Oats Pradhaman is ready and Yummy!!!
